SPACE RACE VICTORY TOURNAMENT: ROUND ONE

The participants had been called in from their quarters once they had made themselves comfortable in their new temporary lifestyle.

"HELLO!" a chipper voice seemed to call out from a set of bleachers. Out from it came Victini, beaming as it floated to where the participants stood. The Victory Pokemon then flew around each participant, as if sizing them up.

Victini turned around and pointed up to the very large LCD monitor positioned at the south end of the stadium. As if on command, the monitor flickered to life, and the list of combatants appeared!

"You may recognize your face here! THAT is because YOU are a participant! There are SIX of you in total!" Victini went on, floating toward the monitor. "Of course you're ALL tied for FIRST since you haven't faced each other YET, but we're about to CHANGE that. Heehee!"

"Your first challenge will be a 2 versus 2 DOUBLE BATTLE! Pretty BASIC, but also really EXCITING to watch!" Again the monitor obeyed an invisible command, the graphic changing to something resembling a tournament tree. "THESE are the match ups!"

The contestants gazed at the monitor, looking to find who they were facing in battle.

"The matches start TOMORROW at 9 AM!" Victini chimed, "DON'T be late! The judges will be here to greet you, and your battle shall commence!"

ROUND INFORMATION BREAKDOWN

Round One is simple, straightfoward. A basic 2v2 battle inside of the stadium. Simply draw your trainer and two pokemon battling against the opposing trainer and their two pokemon in a one shot image.

REQUIREMENTS:

• All pokemon used in battle must be showin in some way.


• Visible trainers aren't a must but it must be implied that they are at least there.


• As this is a double battle, you are limited to only two of your Pokemon. Your thrid may be present, but it cannot participate in the battle.

OPTIONAL ADDITIONS:

• You may add a story to go along with your image in the artists comments. It is not required, but it could affect your score in terms of your story.


• Synching with your opponent is optional. You will neither gain nor lose marks if you show your oppoent with Pokemon 1 and 2 when they use 2 and 3 (and vice versa).


• You may include additional pages, however we will only be juding the main page. We request that you link all pages together in the artist comments, should you decide to do this.


• You don't need to show your trainer, but you must at least imply that they're present.

JUDGING CRITERIA:

We as judges will be evaluating your work on three subjects. You can score a maximum of 10 in each subject, making the final attainable score 30.

• Technical: Things like anatomy, color theory, sense of depth etc


• Story: The way you're able to convey a story either through image, story add on, or both.


• Entertainment: Did the visual aspect of the image catch and hold our attention?
